TipBook a dinner table at one of the historic kafanas such as Tri Sesira or Dva Jelena, and expect live tamburica bands and a cover charge at weekends. Go at lunchtime instead for the same grilled food noticeably cheaper and with room to breathe; the cobbled lane itself is free to wander and prettiest in the early evening light.
Splavovi (Floating River Clubs)
TipThe party splavovi run roughly May to September only, so outside those months you get moored cafe barges rather than clubs. Reserve a table online or through your hotel for the big-name rafts, as walk-ups are turned away at weekends, and agree the taxi fare back to the centre before you get in, or use Bolt or CarGo to skip the haggling.
Museum of Yugoslavia and Tito's Mausoleum
TipThe museum closes on Mondays, so plan around that, and take trolleybus 40 or 41 from the centre out to the Dedinje hillside.
